Disclosure: ChaChaCha is a POS vendor, powered by AppsPOS, and some options below compete with us. We only used information published on each vendor’s own website as of September 2026.
- WESS is salon and spa software from a Singapore company with an office at Ubi Techpark. It covers appointments, commissions, packages, a POS, CRM, inventory and WhatsApp notifications.
- WESS pricing is not stated on their website. Fresha and Qashier publish prices; MEGAPOS and Edgeworks quote.
- Salons usually look at alternatives for published pricing, a marketplace for new clients, or one system shared with a café or retail counter.
- Test any system on a busy day’s work: booking, partial payment, package redemption and the commission report.
Last reviewed: September 2026. Vendor details were checked on each vendor’s own website on 28 September 2026. Where a price is given, we say whether the vendor states that it includes GST.
WESS is a well-established name among Singapore beauty, hair, nail and spa businesses. Before switching, read what salons say in WESS reviews. If you already use it or are considering it, this guide sets out what WESS offers and how alternatives compare on booking, packages, POS and commissions, grouped by who they suit best. For the wider market, see our best salon POS system guide.
How we compared (and who wrote this)
ChaChaCha is a point-of-sale system for Singapore businesses, F&B first, with retail and beauty second, powered by AppsPOS Pte. Ltd., a Singapore POS company operating since 2013. Our rules for this page:
- Vendor websites only. Every feature and price comes from the vendor’s own site, linked where used. We did not use review-site ratings or quotes.
- “Not stated on their website” means we could not find it on the pages we reviewed, not that the feature is missing.
- No ranking. Options are grouped by the salon or spa they suit best.
What WESS offers
WESS is made by Refine Solutions Pte Ltd. Its homepage lists a Singapore office at 10 Ubi Crescent, Ubi Techpark, and a Malaysia office in Skudai, Johor, and says the team has more than 12 years of experience with beauty businesses. From its own pages:
- Appointments. The appointment page covers booking from the front desk, your website or the customer app, staff scheduling and automated reminders.
- Consumer Web App. Customers can book 24/7, choose a therapist or stylist, see promotions and pay online by card or PayNow.
- Commissions and staff. The employee page describes customised, automated commission payouts, scheduling and performance analytics.
- POS for partial payments. The POS page describes allocating partial payments to the right items so commissions are accurate, and controls on prepaid and credit use. A “coming soon” note sits beside the cashless and prepaid sections, so confirm what is live.
- Engagement and CRM. Email and SMS campaigns, promotions, automated reminders and post-service surveys (customer engagement), plus a CRM, inventory for retail versus service-use items, multi-branch management and reporting (other features).
- WhatsApp. WESS WhatsApp Connect sends reminders, confirmations, cancellations, invoices and receipts from your own WhatsApp Business number, with delivery status in WESS.
Pricing: not stated on their website. WESS offers a free demo.
Why salons look at WESS alternatives
- Published pricing before a sales call.
- A marketplace that brings new clients, not only bookings from existing ones. Our WESS vs Fresha guide weighs a marketplace platform against a local salon system.
- Regional expansion with one system across markets.
- Mixed businesses, such as a salon with a café or retail counter, that want one POS. Our WESS vs Qashier comparison covers one all-in-one option.
None of these is a reason to switch on its own. If WESS already handles your packages, commissions and reminders well, the cost and risk of moving client balances may outweigh the gains. Start by listing the two or three problems you want to solve, then check whether a WESS setting or add-on already covers them before you book demos elsewhere.
Alternatives, grouped by who they suit
Best for independents and small teams wanting published prices and a marketplace: Fresha
Fresha’s pricing page lists an Independent plan at SGD 28.95 a month for one-person businesses and a Team plan at SGD 18.95 per bookable team member a month, with custom Enterprise rates above 20 team members. Card payments are 3.29% + SGD 0.50 per transaction online or in person, and terminals start from SGD 499. Text reminders are SGD 0.10 each after the free monthly allowance. Its team management table lists sales commissions, wages and timesheets, so check which plan includes them. The page says rates are exclusive of sales tax.
Best for one all-in daily price: Qashier
Qashier’s pricing page lists $5 a day with everything included, including bookings, loyalty and packages, with up to 10 staff accounts. Prices exclude GST. Its beauty salon page describes appointments, package balances, client profiles, loyalty and multi-outlet reporting.
Best for groups expanding into Malaysia or Indonesia: LABÉAU
LABÉAU’s Singapore salon page describes therapist and room allocation, package and membership redemption, tiered commissions, WhatsApp reminders and SGD checkout, with one platform across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Its team is based in Kuala Lumpur, and the plan price it shows is in ringgit, so ask for a Singapore-dollar quote.
Best for spas that need offline mode and mall sales sync: MEGAPOS Salon & Spa
MEGAPOS’s salon and spa page lists a POS that works offline, appointment reminders, a CRM with service packages and loyalty, stock transfers across outlets, and sales submission to shopping mall tenant systems. Pricing is not stated on their website.
Best for multi-outlet beauty chains wanting a customised package: EQuipPOS Beauty by Edgeworks
Edgeworks’ EQuipPOS Beauty page lists a sales performance module for beauticians and stylists, online booking that can be embedded in your website, Facebook or app, multi-outlet booking, VIP customer levels and loyalty points. Pricing is by customised quote.
Best for salons that also sell food and drink: ChaChaCha
ChaChaCha’s salon and spa POS covers checkout with PayNow, PayLah!, NETS, cards and GrabPay, split payments, staff permissions, and loyalty with points, stamps, stored value, vouchers, birthday rewards and WhatsApp marketing, plus reports and Xero integration. For appointment booking and commission rules, ask us to confirm what fits your salon. Our WESS vs ChaChaCha comparison sets out the salon features side by side. Pricing is quote-based.

Packages, partial payments and commissions: what to test
These three areas cause most disputes in salons, so test them on any system:
- Package redemption. Sell a 10-session package, redeem two sessions, then check the balance on the receipt and in the customer’s profile.
- Partial payment. Take a deposit on a package, then check that the customer cannot use more sessions than paid for, if that is your policy.
- Commission. Split a service between two staff, add a retail sale, and read the month-end commission report.
Our guides to selling salon packages responsibly and salon commission tracking go into more detail, including CCS guidance on fair trading.
Switching from WESS safely
- Export clients and package balances, including remaining sessions, expiry dates and notes, and check them against your records.
- Honour every package. Customers’ prepaid balances must carry over exactly.
- Move future appointments and pick a cut-over date after a quiet week.
- Handle client data under the PDPA, transferring only what you need, with consent records for marketing.
- Check grants. The EDGE Grant replaced PSG from 30 September 2026, so ask each vendor whether its package is supported.
For other booking-led options, see our Fresha alternatives guide. If your salon also runs a café or retail counter, talk to us about ChaChaCha. Ask every vendor, including us, to confirm pricing and features in writing.
