Disclosure: ChaChaCha publishes this page and is a POS vendor, powered by AppsPOS, so we compete with MEGAPOS. MEGAPOS facts come only from MEGAPOS’s own Singapore website as of September 2026. ChaChaCha facts come from our published feature list.
- Both are Singapore package vendors: hardware, software and local support from one company, with no published pricing.
- MEGAPOS publishes more detail on hardware and after-sales: HP hardware with a three-year manufacturer warranty, a dual-screen POS plus kiosk, sticker label printing and a showroom.
- ChaChaCha publishes more detail on the kitchen, queue and payments: KDS prioritisation and prep timers, SMS queue, NETS certification, PayLah! and bilingual kitchen tickets.
- This page compares features, not prices.

MEGAPOS and ChaChaCha are similar kinds of supplier. Both are based in Singapore, both sell a package of POS hardware, software and local support, and both cover QR ordering, self-order kiosks, kitchen printing and displays, loyalty and GrabFood. Neither publishes prices. That makes the choice come down to modules, hardware, support and fit with your kitchen. This page compares them feature by feature and says plainly where MEGAPOS is the better fit. For a wider list, see our MEGAPOS alternatives guide and our best F&B POS system guide.
How we compared (and why not on price)
We used MEGAPOS’s own website only, linked throughout, and no review-site ratings or quotes. For public ratings and vendor-selected testimonials, see MEGAPOS reviews in Singapore. Where the table says “not stated on their website”, we could not find it on the pages we reviewed. We compare features, not prices. MEGAPOS pricing is not stated on their website, and ChaChaCha is quote-based, so the only fair comparison is two written quotes for the same outlet. To see MEGAPOS beside a published daily plan, read our MEGAPOS vs Qashier page. Our POS system cost guide explains what a quote should include, and our POS cost calculator helps you estimate the total over a contract.

Delivery: MEGAPOS lists GrabFood orders flowing to the kitchen. ChaChaCha lists GrabFood integration, plus Lalamove for delivering your own online orders.
Kiosks and small counters
Both vendors lean into self-ordering, which matters in Singapore’s tight labour market. MEGAPOS stands out for compact counters: its 2-in-1 device combines a cashier POS and a self-order kiosk in one dual-screen unit, and its TV numbering solution shows collection numbers. For a bubble tea stall or takeaway kiosk with very little counter space, that combination is worth seeing in its showroom.
ChaChaCha’s self-order kiosk has a built-in card terminal, so customers can order and pay without a separate payment device, and there is a retail kiosk mode. Orders from the kiosk go to the same KDS as counter and QR orders. For outlets where the queue is at the door rather than at collection, ChaChaCha’s queue system sends SMS alerts and shows numbers on a queue display.
Kitchen and back office
Both route orders to kitchen sections and both support a kitchen display. MEGAPOS adds sticker label printing for takeaway containers, which helps outlets with heavy takeaway or delivery. ChaChaCha puts more published detail into kitchen timing: order prioritisation and prep timers on the KDS, Epson cloud printing to several printers, and tickets in English or Chinese.
In the back office, MEGAPOS lists recipe and stock management, staff clock-in and multi-outlet reporting through its cloud backend. ChaChaCha lists recipe-level stock deduction with recipe costing per menu item, reports, ERP for head office, Xero integration and an AI agent on WhatsApp. If you need staff attendance or sticker labels with ChaChaCha, ask us to confirm for your setup.
Grants and support
Grants change on 30 September 2026. Enterprise Singapore’s EDGE Grant page says PSG, EDG and MRA cease on 29 September 2026 and new applications go under the EDGE Grant, with support of up to 70% for SMEs and levels that differ by activity. Support is paid on a reimbursement basis once the activity is completed and paid for. AppsPOS has been a PSG pre-approved vendor and is approved under the EDGE Grant. Our POS grant guide and EDGE Grant guide explain how to apply. Always check eligibility before you sign or pay, because grants cannot usually be claimed after purchase.
MEGAPOS’s site shows a “PSG Grant Available” label. Because PSG closes on 29 September 2026, ask MEGAPOS to confirm its status under the EDGE Grant. On support, MEGAPOS publishes a three-year HP manufacturer warranty on HP hardware, first-year software support and on-site visits when phone support cannot fix an issue. Ask us to put ChaChaCha’s hardware warranty, support hours and response times in writing in your quote, so you can compare the two directly.
NETS publishes its list of certified POS vendors on its NETS POS page, so you can check any vendor on your shortlist there, including us.
Which fits your business?
MEGAPOS is likely the better fit if
- You want published hardware warranty terms and a showroom to try devices before you buy.
- You run a small kiosk or takeaway counter and want a 2-in-1 POS plus kiosk.
- You need sticker label printing for takeaway containers, or staff clock-in on the POS.
- You run F&B alongside a salon or spa and want one vendor with an appointment module.
ChaChaCha may be the better fit if
- Your kitchen is the bottleneck and you want prioritisation, prep timers and multi-printer routing.
- You have queues at the door and want SMS alerts and a queue display.
- Many customers pay by NETS or PayLah!, or you want stored value, stamps and WhatsApp marketing.
- Your team works in Chinese as well as English.
- You want Xero integration and recipe costing per menu item.
Because neither vendor publishes prices, ask both for itemised quotes on the same hardware list and contract length. We compare MEGAPOS with another quote-based vendor in MEGAPOS versus Aptsys. To get ChaChaCha’s, contact us.
