Disclosure: ChaChaCha, the publisher of this page, is a POS vendor powered by AppsPOS, and competes with MEGAPOS for some customers. We have not used or tested MEGAPOS. Ratings come from public review pages we checked on 29 September 2026, and product facts come only from MEGAPOS’s own website on the same day.
- MEGAPOS’s main public rating is its Google Business Profile: 4.9 out of 5 from 175 reviews, with 169 of them five-star.
- Google groups the reviews around efficient set-up, ease of use, fast response and responsive staff.
- We found no MEGAPOS listing on G2, Capterra or Trustpilot, and its Facebook page showed no reviews. The “MegaPOS” apps on the App Store and Google Play come from an unrelated developer.
- The quotes and case studies on MEGAPOS’s own website are chosen by MEGAPOS, so we label them as vendor-selected.
- MEGAPOS publishes no prices, so the checklist below focuses on getting a complete written quote.

MEGAPOS is a Singapore POS supplier based at SBF Center on Robinson Road, selling systems for F&B, retail, and salon and spa businesses. Retailers and salons can compare it with Edgeworks’ system in MEGAPOS vs EQuipPOS. If it is on your shortlist, you will want to know what a MEGAPOS review from an actual customer says, not just what the brochure promises. This round-up lists every public rating we could find on 29 September 2026, sums up the themes in our own words, sets out what MEGAPOS says about itself, and ends with the questions to ask before you sign. MEGAPOS review scores by platform (checked 29 September 2026)
| Platform | Listing | Score | Reviews or ratings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Business Profile | “MEGAPOS POS System”, 160 Robinson Road | 4.9 out of 5 | 175 reviews (169 five-star, 2 four-star, 2 three-star, 1 two-star, 1 one-star) |
| MEGAPOS Singapore page | No score | No reviews shown | |
| G2 | No MEGAPOS listing found | Not applicable | Not applicable |
| Capterra | No MEGAPOS listing found | Not applicable | Not applicable |
| Trustpilot | No profile for megapos.com.sg | Not applicable | Not applicable |
| App Store and Google Play | “MegaPOS: Kafe & Restoran POS” is from an unrelated developer | Not applicable | Not applicable |
So the MEGAPOS review picture is really a Google picture. The good news is that 175 reviews is a meaningful sample for a local POS supplier, and the score is very high. The limit is that Google reviews of a supplier’s business listing tend to reflect the buying and installation experience more than months of daily use. We viewed the Facebook page while logged out, and it showed no reviews at the time.
A name check matters here too. Searching the app stores for “MegaPOS” returns a café and restaurant POS app from a different developer, and G2 and Capterra searches return unrelated products with similar names, such as Megaport. None of those ratings tell you anything about MEGAPOS in Singapore.
How to read MEGAPOS ratings before you rely on them
A star average is a summary, not a verdict. Before you let one decide your shortlist, check these points.
- Sample size: an average built on a handful of ratings can swing sharply with one new review. Treat small counts as anecdotes rather than evidence.
- What is being rated: app store ratings cover one app, not the package of software, hardware, set-up and support you would actually buy.
- Who is rating: some listings mix business owners, staff and consumers. Separate their experiences before drawing conclusions.
- When: older reviews can describe a product that has since changed. Sort by most recent and compare dates.
- Vendor testimonials are not reviews: quotes on a vendor’s own website are chosen by the vendor. They show what it wants to be known for, which is useful, but they are not independent.
For MEGAPOS in particular, note that almost every Google rating is five stars. That is a strong signal about how customers felt when they left a review, but it gives you little detail on what goes wrong and how it gets fixed, which is exactly what you need to learn before you commit.
The strongest evidence usually comes from a reference call with a Singapore business like yours, a trial using your own data, and a contract you have read line by line.
What reviewers praise about MEGAPOS
Google tags the MEGAPOS reviews by topic. On 29 September 2026 the tags were efficient set-up (22 mentions), ease of use (16), fast response (6) and responsive staff (6). Reading the most relevant reviews, in our own words:
- Installation and set-up: several reviewers, including a new café and a spa, described a punctual and organised installation, with the team meeting a tight opening date.
- Named people who helped: reviews often credit specific sales and technical staff by name for walking them through the system and following up on paperwork. That suggests a hands-on, relationship-led service.
- Ease of use: reviewers from F&B and beauty businesses found the system straightforward for daily cashiering.
- Response to problems: the fast-response and responsive-staff tags point to support that picks up quickly when something goes wrong.
Complaints and caveats
With 169 of 175 Google reviews at five stars, there are very few negative public reviews to summarise. Six ratings were below five stars, and we did not find a pattern of complaints that we could fairly report. That does not mean there are no problems; it means public reviews do not show them. A few practical caveats follow from what the reviews and the vendor’s site do and do not cover:
- Little long-term detail: most reviews describe onboarding. Ask references about year two and three, including upgrades and renewals.
- No public price signal: reviews rarely mention cost, and MEGAPOS has no pricing page.
- Few reviews outside Google: you cannot cross-check the score against another independent platform.
Vendor-selected testimonials and case studies
MEGAPOS publishes customer quotes on its homepage and testimonials page, and longer write-ups on its customer success stories page. These are selected by MEGAPOS, so read them as the vendor’s own evidence rather than independent reviews.
- The testimonials page is dated September 2020. Several quotes stress after-sales service and long relationships, including customers who say they have used MEGAPOS for around ten years.
- The homepage quotes, from F&B businesses and a retail souvenir shop, focus on ease of use, sales reports by category and quick responses from named staff.
- The case studies, mostly published between December 2025 and January 2026, cover a heartland bakery, a Spanish restaurant, a café run with a small service team and a hawker stall, among others.
If a case study matches your format, ask MEGAPOS whether you can speak to that business directly.
What MEGAPOS says about itself
From MEGAPOS’s homepage, its restaurant POS page and its POS modules page, as published on 29 September 2026:
- POS systems for F&B, retail, and salon and spa businesses, with an online back end for menus, inventory and reports.
- QR ordering where customers scan, order and pay, with orders sent to the POS and to kitchen printers or display screens; a self-ordering kiosk; and a Hybrid unit that combines POS and kiosk in one dual-screen device.
- Kitchen management that routes orders from the POS, QR ordering, kiosks and GrabFood to the right kitchen printer or display, plus sticker label printing for takeaway.
- Table management, menu updates across outlets, recipe and stock management, staff clock-in, automated promotions, real-time reports and multi-outlet management.
- An offline mode, so that network disruptions do not stop operations.
- CRM membership with points, rewards and eVouchers, plus credit top-ups and pre-purchased meal packages.
- Cashless payments linked to its ordering products, including PayNow at what it describes as almost zero transaction rates.
- A three-year HP manufacturer warranty on HP POS hardware, with MEGAPOS handling the claim, and first-year software technical support covered. Support is by phone and online, with a site visit if needed.
The footer links to a page on grant support. From 30 September 2026, PSG, EDG and MRA combine into the EDGE Grant, so confirm the support that applies to the exact package on your quote. Our POS grant guide explains the change.
What to check before you sign with MEGAPOS
- A full written quote: list hardware, software, each module (QR, kiosk, kitchen display, CRM), installation and training, with one-off and recurring costs shown separately.
- Support after year one: the site says first-year technical support is covered. Ask what support costs from year two and what it includes.
- Payment rates in writing: get the actual PayNow, card and NETS rates, any minimum fees and the settlement timing.
- Offline behaviour: ask which functions keep working during an outage, including QR orders and card payments.
- Hardware warranty: confirm which devices are HP with the three-year warranty, and what cover applies to kiosks, printers and tablets.
- Grants: ask for the price before and after grant support under the EDGE Grant, and what you owe if a claim is not approved.
- Contract terms: check the minimum term, renewal pricing and notice period.
- Data export: confirm you can export sales, menu and member data if you leave.
- References: ask for two Singapore customers with your format and size who have used MEGAPOS for more than two years.
The same questions apply to any POS supplier. Our EPOS reviews round-up shows how the review picture differs for another local vendor.
