Disclosure: ChaChaCha publishes this page and is a POS vendor, powered by AppsPOS, so we compete with FoodZaps. FoodZaps facts come only from FoodZaps’ own website as of September 2026. ChaChaCha facts come from our published feature list.
- FoodZaps is a Singapore-built, Android-based F&B POS with a free tier, a 14-day trial and self-serve monthly plans published in USD.
- ChaChaCha is a Singapore F&B-first POS package with integrated local payments, a KDS, QR ordering, kiosk, queue, loyalty and GrabFood integration, with hardware supplied.
- FoodZaps suits owners who want to set up on their own Android devices and start small. ChaChaCha suits outlets that want payments, kitchen and delivery connected in one supplied package.
- This page compares features, not prices.

FoodZaps and ChaChaCha are both point-of-sale systems made for food and beverage businesses in Singapore, and both cover ordering, the kitchen and reporting. The difference is mostly in how you buy and set them up. FoodZaps is a do-it-yourself system: download the app onto Android devices, choose a plan and add devices as you grow. ChaChaCha is a supplied package: hardware, payments and set-up come together, quoted for your outlet. This page compares features where they overlap and says plainly where FoodZaps is the better fit. For the wider market, see our best F&B POS system guide.
How we compared (and why not on price)
We used FoodZaps’ own pages only, read on 29 September 2026: its home page, features, hardware, support, pricing and grant pages. We used no review-site ratings or quotes. Where the table says “not stated on their website”, we could not find it, which does not mean it does not exist. The footer on FoodZaps’ pages reads ©2022, so some content may not have been updated recently; confirm anything important with FoodZaps directly. We compare features, not prices. ChaChaCha is quote-based, and a fair price comparison needs a written quote for your own outlet. Our POS system cost guide shows how to compare quotes like for like.
What FoodZaps offers
FoodZaps’ home page is titled “F&B POS System Singapore”, and its footer names FoodZaps Technology Pte Ltd. It describes an Android POS for cafes, hawker stalls, grab-and-go kiosks, restaurants and bars, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card needed.
- Ordering: customer QR self-ordering, eWaiter ordering on staff phones, an eMenu, self-order tablets, a website menu and online ordering for take-away. Its features page says staff can use their own Android phones as extra ordering devices.
- Kitchen: cashier and kitchen printers, a kitchen display unit and a progress station that shows what is happening across the outlet.
- Front of house: customer display, queue display and a TV menu board.
- Payments: card payments through your preferred payment processor, tracked in FoodZaps; split bills across payment types; custom payment types; open bills for regulars; gift cards and vouchers; an eWallet.
- Back office: inventory (ingredient level for bars, and recipe level listed on its grant page), employee and customer management, promotions, multi-outlet consolidated reports and remote reports.
- Offline: the POS works online and offline, with data reaching the cloud when you are back online.
- Hardware: the hardware page supports bring-your-own Android phones and tablets, recommends Epson and Star receipt printers and a dedicated router, and offers a preconfigured hardware bundle.
Its pricing page states “All prices in USD” and lists a free Snack plan, then Entrée at $9.90 a month, Full Course at $39.90, Gala at $89.90 and Carnival at $139.90, with 10% off yearly subscriptions, payment through PayPal and no long-term contract. Higher plans add devices, a kitchen display, inventory, queue display, on-device self-ordering and, on Carnival, online ordering with third-party integration. Because the footer reads ©2022, confirm current plans with FoodZaps before you rely on them. For FoodZaps against a flat daily-priced POS, see our Qashier and FoodZaps head-to-head.

Ordering and the kitchen
Both systems cover the core F&B ordering flow: QR ordering at the table, staff ordering on a handheld, a kitchen display and printers. FoodZaps is flexible on devices, since any compatible Android phone can become an ordering device, which suits a small team that wants to add ordering points cheaply. For another low-cost counter option, read how FoodZaps compares with HitPay. Its progress station gives a manager a view of the whole outlet at a glance.
ChaChaCha’s kitchen display adds order prioritisation and prep timers alongside station routing, and it prints to multiple Epson printers over the cloud. Its QR ordering covers both dine-in and pre-order with payment, and kitchen tickets can print in Chinese as well as English, which helps many Singapore kitchens. Ask both vendors to run a real order from QR to kitchen to payment during your demo.
Payments and delivery
This is where the two differ most. FoodZaps says you use your preferred payment processor for cards and track the payments in FoodZaps, with split bills and custom payment types. That gives you freedom to keep an existing terminal, but ask FoodZaps whether the amount flows to the terminal automatically or is keyed in by hand.
ChaChaCha integrates PayNow, PayLah!, NETS, Visa and Mastercard and GrabPay through DBS, UOB and 2C2P, with split payments and automated reconciliation. For delivery, ChaChaCha integrates GrabFood and uses Lalamove for your own online orders; FoodZaps lists third-party integration on its top plan without naming platforms on the pages we reviewed, so ask which it supports. Our delivery integration page explains what to check.
Set-up, hardware and support
FoodZaps is the better fit if you want to start on your own. Our FoodZaps alternatives guide groups other F&B POS options by outlet type. The free plan and 14-day trial let you try it without a sales call, the app runs on Android 4.0 and above, and the hardware page explains which printers and routers to buy. Support is by email on its paid plans, and the hardware page mentions 24/7 global support.
ChaChaCha is a supplied package. Hardware comes from AppsPOS as part of the deal, and set-up is arranged with you rather than done alone. That suits owners who would rather not source and configure devices. For support hours and service levels, ask us to put them in your quote. If you are moving from another system, our guide to switching POS systems covers menu migration, data export and timing.
Grants
Grants change on 30 September 2026. Enterprise Singapore’s EDGE Grant page says PSG, EDG and MRA cease on 29 September 2026 and new applications go under the EDGE Grant, with support of up to 70% for SMEs and levels that differ by activity. FoodZaps’ Singapore Grant page still describes PSG pre-approved packages, so ask FoodZaps how its solution fits under the EDGE Grant. AppsPOS has been a PSG pre-approved vendor and is approved under the EDGE Grant; see our POS grant guide. Check eligibility before you sign or pay.
