Disclosure: ChaChaCha publishes this page and is a POS vendor, powered by AppsPOS, so we compete with Fresha. Fresha facts come only from Fresha’s own website as of September 2026. ChaChaCha facts come from our published feature list.
- Fresha is a booking-first platform for salons, spas and wellness businesses, with a consumer marketplace, published SGD plans and salon tools such as packages, memberships, consultation forms and commissions.
- ChaChaCha leads with F&B, with retail and beauty second. Its strengths for a salon are local payments, loyalty, stored value, vouchers and WhatsApp marketing.
- For most booking-led salons, Fresha is likely the better fit. For appointments, packages and commission with ChaChaCha, ask us to confirm.
- This page compares features, not prices.

Fresha and ChaChaCha rarely compete head to head, but salon and spa owners sometimes put them on the same list, especially when the business also runs a cafe corner, a juice bar or a retail counter. Fresha was built for beauty and wellness, and its day starts with the appointment calendar. ChaChaCha is a Singapore POS built for F&B first, with retail and beauty second, and its strengths are at the counter: payments, loyalty and stored value. This page compares the two on what a salon or spa needs and says plainly where Fresha is the better fit, which for most booking-led salons it will be. For a wider view, see our Fresha alternatives guide, our best salon POS guide and our salon and spa POS page.
How we compared (and why not on price)
We used Fresha’s own pages only, linked throughout, and no review-site ratings or quotes. “Not stated on their website” means we could not find it on the pages we reviewed. We did not test either product. We compare features, not prices. Fresha publishes SGD plans, which we summarise so you can budget; our own pricing is quote-based, so a side-by-side cost table would not be fair. Our Fresha pricing guide goes through Fresha’s costs in more detail. For our quote, contact us.
Fresha at a glance
Fresha’s home page lists Singapore among the countries where it operates, and its pricing FAQ describes it as the world’s largest booking platform for beauty and wellness, used by more than 120,000 businesses. From its pricing page, which showed SGD amounts when we checked:
- Plans: Independent at SGD 28.95 a month for a single calendar column, Team at SGD 18.95 per bookable team member a month, and custom Enterprise rates for more than 20 team members. There is a seven-day trial and no minimum contract.
- Booking: calendar and appointment scheduling, waitlists, group bookings, processing and finishing times, resources, and bookings through direct links, Facebook, Instagram and the Fresha marketplace.
- Salon tools: client management, consultation forms, patch tests, packages, memberships, gift cards, deals, retail and inventory, and an online product store.
- Team: shift scheduling, tips, login permissions, sales commissions, wages, pay runs and timesheets.
- Payments: optional. Online and in-person payments are 3.29% + SGD 0.50 per transaction, with deposits and no-show fees; terminals start from SGD 499.
- Add-ons: Client Loyalty at SGD 79.95 per location a month, an AI Concierge, Xero at SGD 12.95 per location a month, and premium phone and chat support at SGD 29.95 a month.
- Marketplace: the pricing page describes a one-time fee for brand-new clients who find you through the Fresha marketplace, although the table we viewed showed it as free. Returning clients never incur a fee. Confirm the current terms with Fresha.

Bookings and the appointment book
For a salon or spa whose day runs on appointments, Fresha has the clear advantage. Its calendar handles individual and group bookings, waitlists, processing and finishing times and resources such as rooms or chairs, and clients can book through a direct link, Facebook, Instagram or the Fresha marketplace. Automated email, SMS and WhatsApp reminders help reduce no-shows, and deposits and cancellation fees can be taken upfront. The marketplace can also bring in new clients, which matters for a new salon building its book.
For appointments with ChaChaCha, ask us to confirm what is available for your business before you compare. If most of your revenue is booked in advance, a booking-first platform like Fresha is likely the better choice.
Packages, commission and client records
Fresha lists packages, memberships and gift cards, consultation forms and patch tests for treatments that need them, and team tools covering sales commission, tips, wages, pay runs and timesheets. These are the everyday needs of a multi-stylist salon, and Fresha has them on its feature list.
ChaChaCha’s confirmed tools that overlap are e-wallet and stored value, vouchers and staff permissions. Stored value can work for prepaid top-ups, and for treatment packages that track sessions, commission rules by stylist and consultation records, ask us to confirm each one, and get the answer in writing from every vendor, including us.
Payments, loyalty and the counter
This is where ChaChaCha may help. PayNow, PayLah!, NETS, Visa, Mastercard and GrabPay are integrated at the counter through DBS, UOB and 2C2P, with split payments and automated reconciliation, and AppsPOS is a NETS Certified Vendor. Fresha’s payments are optional and priced per transaction; the pages we reviewed list card rates but do not mention PayNow or NETS, so ask Fresha how those would work.
On loyalty, ChaChaCha includes points and stamps, stored value, vouchers, birthday rewards and WhatsApp marketing in its loyalty tools. Fresha offers Client Loyalty as a paid add-on per location. The web and hybrid POS also keeps taking sales if the internet drops, which Fresha’s pages do not describe.
Salons with a cafe or retail counter
Some beauty businesses in Singapore run more than one kind of sale: a salon with a coffee bar, a spa with a tea lounge, or a nail studio with a busy product shelf. For those, ChaChaCha brings a full F&B toolkit, including QR ordering, a kitchen display and English and Chinese tickets, plus retail kiosk mode, and one set of payments and loyalty across the business. Fresha lists retail and inventory and an online product store, but its pages do not describe food and drink service. If the cafe is a real part of the business, ask both vendors how they would handle it. On grants, Enterprise Singapore’s EDGE Grant page says support now runs under the EDGE Grant, with levels that differ by activity; AppsPOS is approved under the EDGE Grant.
