Disclosure: ChaChaCha publishes this page and is a POS vendor, powered by AppsPOS, so we compete with EPOS. EPOS facts come only from EPOS’s own Singapore website as of September 2026. ChaChaCha facts come from our published feature list.
- EPOS is a Singapore POS company serving retail, F&B and minimarts, with a long record as a grant-approved vendor and a broad retail and inventory toolset.
- Both systems cover QR ordering, table management, a kitchen display, loyalty, delivery integration and offline operation.
- EPOS is the better fit for minimarts, mixed retail and F&B, central kitchens and owners who want forecasting, a wide choice of delivery and e-commerce links and its WhatsApp rewards product.
- ChaChaCha stands out on KDS prioritisation and prep timers, a queue system with SMS, bilingual kitchen tickets, NETS certification and a self-order kiosk with a card terminal.

EPOS and ChaChaCha are both Singapore POS vendors that supply hardware as part of their packages and have been PSG pre-approved vendors. If you are choosing between them for an F&B outlet, the decision comes down to which features you use every day. This page compares them feature by feature, not on price, and says plainly where EPOS is the better fit. For more options, see our EPOS alternatives guide and our best F&B POS system guide.
How we compared (and why not on price)
We used EPOS’s own Singapore pages only, linked throughout, with no review-site ratings or quotes. Our EPOS reviews round-up covers what users say. “Not stated on their website” means we could not find it on the pages we reviewed. We compare features, not prices. EPOS publishes some pricing for its EPOS360 app and sells packages, while ChaChaCha is quote-based, so the fair way to compare cost is a written quote for your outlet. For the plans and fees EPOS publishes, see our EPOS pricing guide. Our POS system cost guide shows what to include.

Ordering, kitchen and front of house
Both systems cover table service, modifiers and QR ordering that sends orders straight to the kitchen. EPOS adds a central kitchen system, which lets one kitchen fulfil orders from several outlets, and a booking module that ties reservations to the table plan. That is a real advantage for groups with a central kitchen or a reservations-led dining room.
ChaChaCha goes deeper at the pass and the door. Its KDS adds order prioritisation and prep timers to station routing, Epson cloud printing sends tickets to several printers, and kitchen tickets can print in Chinese for mixed-language teams. Its queue system with SMS alerts and a queue display suits outlets with walk-in lines, and its self-order kiosk has a card terminal built in. See our QR ordering page for how dine-in and pre-order flows work.
Payments, loyalty and marketing
EPOS supports split payments by item or by pax and a wide range of tenders, including vouchers and gift cards. Its WhatsApp-based EPOS Rewards is a notable product: customers join by scanning a QR code, see their points and vouchers in a member portal, and receive birthday and reactivation campaigns on WhatsApp.
ChaChaCha connects PayNow, PayLah!, NETS, Visa, Mastercard and GrabPay through DBS, UOB and 2C2P, with split payments and automated reconciliation, and AppsPOS is a NETS Certified Vendor. Its loyalty features include points and stamps, stored value, vouchers and birthday rewards, with WhatsApp marketing. Both vendors therefore offer WhatsApp-based customer outreach, so compare the sign-up flow and campaign tools in a demo.
Inventory, offline mode and back office
EPOS has a strong inventory story, built for retail and minimarts as well as F&B. It lists purchase orders, supplier management, low-stock alerts, bulk product import, basket analysis and a seven-day sales forecast with suggested reorder quantities. If you run a minimart, a bakery with retail shelves or a mixed store, that depth is a reason to choose EPOS.
ChaChaCha deducts ingredients by recipe with each sale and costs each menu item by recipe, and offers reports, ERP for head office, Xero integration and the AppsPOS AI agent on WhatsApp. For purchase orders, transfers and other inventory specifics, ask us to confirm. Both systems say they keep working offline; our offline mode guide lists what to test.
Grants and support
Grants changed on 30 September 2026. Enterprise Singapore’s EDGE Grant page says PSG, EDG and MRA cease on 29 September 2026 and new applications go under the EDGE Grant, with support of up to 70% for SMEs and levels that differ by activity. AppsPOS has been a PSG pre-approved vendor and is approved under the EDGE Grant. Our POS grant guide and EDGE Grant guide explain how to apply. Always check eligibility before you sign or pay, because grants cannot usually be claimed after purchase.
EPOS’s grants page describes more than eight years as a PSG pre-approved vendor and says it is a Climate Voucher approved POS vendor. Because PSG closes on 29 September 2026, ask EPOS how its packages are supported under the EDGE Grant. EPOS lists 24/7 phone support in its packages and technicians from 9am to 11pm daily on its home page. For ChaChaCha support hours, ask us to include them in your quote.
